Political uproar erupts over G20 dinner invitations addressing host as ‘President of Bharat’

A political controversy has arisen following the distribution of invitations for the upcoming G20 dinner at Rashtrapati Bhawan, where the host is referred to as the ‘President of Bharat’ instead of the traditional ‘President of India.’

While leaders from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) have expressed support for this change, emphasizing its connection to the nation’s ancient roots, opposition parties have seized the opportunity to criticize the BJP.

Opposition leaders contend that the BJP’s alteration from ‘President of India’ to ‘President of Bharat’ is motivated by the newly established alliance known as I.N.D.I.A.
